At BigHat, speed and scale in antibody discovery start with the quality and consistency of the reagents that power our experiments. Our Milliner™ platform runs on cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS), enabling us to express antibodies overnight, where traditional cell-based methods take days to weeks. That difference is what makes rapid, high-throughput iteration possible.
Operating at this speed and throughput requires a manufacturing infrastructure that is robust, repeatable, and purpose-built to run week after week. That's why we manufacture our own CFPS reagents entirely in-house, growing bacterial extract at production scale in bioreactors every week.
The manufacturing workflow is fully automated. After growth and processing, extract is formatted into single-use plates by our robotic workcell. Each plate is barcoded at creation, giving every batch full traceability from manufacturing through to the synthesis run where it is used.
Before release, every batch clears a custom quality control validation. And because every plate carries a traceable identity, we have the visibility needed to act precisely and quickly when it matters.
The result is a reagent supply that runs with the consistency of a production operation, not a research one. Week after week, these validated plates power our CFPS platform, supporting the synthesis and characterization of thousands of antibodies across our programs.
At BigHat, automation is foundational and purposefulI. It is a core scientific capability that we have built, refined, and operate entirely in-house, because the integrity of our data starts long before any experiment runs.
